Assignment at San Diego City Schools

For assignments where participants will be working around children (i.e., schools, child care centers), State law requires that all participants complete fingerprinting and a background check.   

 

The Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) has made an agreement with the San Diego Unified School District to use CalWORKs funds to pay for the fingerprinting and background checks for all WEX/CSR participants assigned to city schools. 

 

Prior to beginning the assignment, the WEX/CSR participant must complete the following:

Take and pass a TB Test

Contact the ECM to obtain an ancillary payment for the fingerprint and background check.  (The check should be made payable to the “San Diego Unified School District”).

For fingerprinting, go to the office located at:

4100 Normal Street, Room 1241

(between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m.)

 

Bring the following items to the fingerprinting appointment:

·  Payment for Fingerprinting & Background Check

·  Results of TB Test

·  Original Social Security Card or Validated Birth Certificate

·  Picture Identification

Sign a Child Abuse Reporting Form while in the fingerprinting office.
